Charlize Theron is really a Mean Girl within the First Trailer for 'Young Adult'

With trailers for 'Extremely Noisy & Incredibly Close' and 'My Week With Marilyn' getting first showed within the last week, precious couple of year-finish prestige releases remain an overall total mystery. Now, using the new trailer for Jason Reitman's 'Young Adult' getting just first showed, a different one bites the dust. (Ball's inside your court, 'In the Land of Bloodstream and Honey'!) The Diablo Cody-scripted dramedy follows a children's book author-cum-adult Mean Girl (Oscar champion Charlize Theron) who returns to her home town to stalk a now-married former senior high school flame. Let us stop attempting to make fetch happen watching ahead. Initial ideas, in staccato form: Theron-as-Rachel McAdams from 'Mean Girls' in fifteen years? Yes, please. Crisp and puncturing dialogue thanks to the always-great Ms. Cody? Yes, please. Dark comedy, which -- when the script comments are accurate -- will get even more dark? Yes, please! The final time Cody and Reitman partnered it had been for that sunshine-y 'Juno' for everyone concerned -- including Theron, inside a role that on first blush appears more suited to someone like Kristen Wiig -- be excited 'Young Adult' certainly is not that.
